Tenpin Bowling Australia Welcomes Kurt Wilson as CEO

Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Kurt Wilson as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Kurt brings a wealth of experience in executive leadership and an impressive track record in sports management, operational strategy, and driving growth within the sporting sector.

Graham Pearson, TBA’s Chair, expressed his confidence in Kurt’s appointment, stating, “Kurt’s vision and experience align perfectly with TBA’s aspirations as we strive to establish ourselves as a leading National Sporting Organisation. We are thrilled to have him lead TBA into this exciting new chapter.”

Kurt succeeds Ryan Edgar, who served as TBA’s Interim CEO during a crucial transitional period. Ryan’s tenure was marked by strategic continuity and the advancement of key initiatives, which have laid a solid foundation for future progress. Reflecting on his time with TBA, Ryan shared, “I am grateful to the tenpin bowling community, the board of directors, and the state and territory associations for their support. It has been an honour to lead TBA, and I am eager to see the organisation continue to grow under Kurt’s capable leadership.”

In his most recent role as General Manager at Surf Life Saving Queensland, Kurt led transformative initiatives, including successful media and marketing campaigns and strengthening membership foundations. His strategic approach resulted in increased participation at events and facilitated several high-profile commercial partnerships. Focusing on growth and engagement, Kurt is well-equipped to guide TBA in its mission to revitalise and elevate the status of Tenpin Bowling across Australia.
